Antigua: Daring hotel robbery and kidnapping

(ANTIGUA OBSERVER) – Police report that the vehicle has been recovered and is still intact.

The woman who was taken, was put out the vehicle shortly after the robbery carjacking it from the site.
She and another coworker who came face to face with the robber, were treated at hospital. They are said to be recovering at home, with no physical injuries.

BACKGROUND

The Police are reporting that there has been a robbery at the Carlisle Bay hotel in Old Road. At about 1:00 pm on Saturday 30th June 2018 a robbery was committed at the Carlisle Bay Hotel which resulted in one (1) person being taken away from the scene. The perpetrators drove away in a Grey/ Silver Honda CRV Reg. No, A 9263 headed in the direction of Fig Tree Drive​ with the taken person.

Police are asking anyone who has seen this vehicle to call 911 or contact the nearest Police Station or the Johnson Point Police Station at 562-8942/3 or CID at 462-3913/4.

Police are on an island wide hunt for this vehicle at present.
