(SNO) — Rising star Ephron Charles hit his second consecutive century to carry Entrepot Secondary (ESS) to an easy win over Stanly Jon Odlum Memorial Secondary School in the 2019 Massy United Insurance 50 Over Under 19 Schools Cricket Tournament.
At the Gros Islet Playing Field, Group B leaders ESS used just 33 overs to ring up 284 for 5, with Windward Islands youth player Charles hitting 113, inclusive of 11 fours and three sixes. In his previous fixture, against Clendon Mason Memorial Secondary, he made 102.
On this occasion, Samuel Cadette added 63, Royce Paul 27, Olarry Alfred 25, and skipper Denzel Roberts 24 not out all.
Set a daunting target of 285 for victory, ESS led by Jaden Lafeuille with commendable fingers of 5 for 15 in 5 overs, Royce Paul 3 for 12 in 2 overs, and one wicket each to female player Zaida James and Jemrick Alexander proved too much for Jon Odlum Memorial Secondary to handle.
Jon Odlum Memorial Secondary were bowled out for 53 in 14 overs with Nevaughn Mitchel making 12, the only batsman to reach double figures, as ESS won by 231 runs.
