PRESS RELEASE – The public is invited to a Health Fiesta to be held at Gros Islet on the grounds of the Gros Islet Roman Catholic Church on Sunday 30th November.
The fiesta is being organised by the Gros Islet Constituency Group of the St. Lucia Labour Party as its observes the third anniversary of the election of Ms Emma Hippolyte as Parliamentary Representative for Gros Islet as well as the election of the St. Lucia Labour Party to Government on 28th November 2011.
The Health fiesta will be preceded by a church service at the Roman Catholic Church at 7:00.am, after which persons are expected to join the fiesta on the former Gros Islet school grounds in front of the Catholic Church.
The fiesta will offer among other things, dental services, testing for hypertension and STD’s as well as facilities to donate blood to the Blood Bank.
The Ministry of Agriculture will be exhibiting local foods that contribute to a healthy eating life style and the fiesta will conclude with a fitness exercise session.
This is the second consecutive year that the Health Fiesta is being organised by the SLP Gros Islet Constituency group.
