Annual Gros Islet Health Fiesta held on Sunday, Nov. 29

cb302e09-9db3-4da0-9cf6-0d9473893705PRESS RELEASE – In commemoration of four (4) years in office, the Parliamentary Representative for Gros Islet hosted a health promotion campaign (Health Fiesta) in keeping with the long standing commitment towards a healthy St. Lucia, and a healthy Gros Islet on Sunday 29th November.

The Health Fiesta was held on the grounds of the Gros Islet Roman Catholic Church organized by the Gros Islet Constituency Group and featured the Ministry of Health, Students of the American International Medical University, (AIMU), St. Lucia Blind Welfare Assoc, the Blood Bank, and United and Strong group.

The Health Fiesta was preceded by a church service at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 7:00 am and 10.00 a.m. with lots of persons receiving services of Dental Services, testing for Hypertension and STD’s, Nutrition Counselling, and facilities to donate blood to the Blood Bank.

The entire Constituency of Gros Islet would like to thank all who came out for the free screening and Ministry of Health, St. Lucia Planned Parenthood Assoc;  St. Lucia Diabetic and Hypertensive Association, Students of the American International Medical University, (AIMU), St. Lucia Blind Welfare Assoc, the Blood Bank, and United and Strong group.
