Reigning National Carnival Queen Amy Stephen will represent St. Lucia at the Miss Carival Pageant this Friday, July 4 at Carnival City, Victoria Park in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Stephen will be among 10 beauties vying for the crown.
The 20-year-old, who grew up in Anse-La-Raye, is no stranger to success at local and regional pageants. Stephen’s interest in the Miss Carival Queen Pageant stems from her involvement in the cultural fabric of St. Lucia, according to her pageant profile.
It added: “Carnival is filled with excitement and a great sense of individual expression which has directly influenced her love for this cultural activity. Amy says ‘participating in these pageants led me to realise that this Miss Carival Queen Pageant is a good forum for the exhibition of regional talent as well as a medium for adding elegance and finesse to the true carnival experience.
