PRESS RELEASE – The Saint Lucia National Trust (SLNT) will be hosting its 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Bay Gardens Hotel from 1 p.m. Members will be brought up to date of the various projects/programmes undertaken over the last year and will be briefed on plans for the upcoming year.
Members, who are eligible, will have the opportunity to elect a Council which will govern the affairs of the Trust for 2014 -2015. All members are urged to ensure that their membership is up to date to participate in that process.
An added feature of the meeting will be an interesting display of family heirlooms donated to the Trust from Mary Sylvia Christine Jean Ismene & Joseph Johnson Ismene, a very influential couple who lived in the town of Soufriere and whose family donated their “treasures” to the Trust upon their passing.
The AGM will be officially opened by Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, Patron of the SLNT. The Trust takes this opportunity to encourage all members to attend and actively participate in day’s proceedings.
Transportation will be available from the South and West, while persons who intend to drive are encouraged to carpool. Members are encouraged to contact Ms. Jannel Christopher, the Membership
Officer at 452-5005 or email [email protected] for further details regarding transportation arrangements and the voting procedure by proxy.
All members are urged to ensure that their membership is up to date to be eligible for voting at the meeting.
