All 50 states now have at least one coronavirus death

(NY DAILY NEWS) – Wyoming, the final state to avoid any deaths from coronavirus, announced its first fatality due to COVID-19 on Monday. All 50 states in the U.S. now have at least one death from the pandemic, with over 22,000 total dead nationwide.

By far the highest number of deaths comes from New York, with over 9,000 as of Monday evening. The two other states with death totals over 1,000 are New Jersey with 2,350, and Michigan with 1,487. Along with Wyoming, several other states have so far managed to stay in the single digits, including West Virginia, Hawaii, North and South Dakota, Montana, and Alaska.

There have been over half a million confirmed positive cases for coronavirus in the U.S. since the pandemic began.
