Alcide pleads guilty to unlawful entry

A man has pleaded guilty to entering a woman’s house and taking electronic items.

Lance Alcide, who was formally arraigned last week on a charge of unlawful entry, stated “I took what is on exhibition” when the charge was read to him.

Alcide entered the premises of one Martha Thomas of Morne Fortune between 5 pm on December 24, 2011 and 7:30 pm on December 26, 2011.  The value of the items taken was $975 EC.  The items included a Wii Play Station game, a magic jack, two laptops and  a Blackberry phone.

A pre-sentence report has been ordered on Alcide, who has been on remand for over one year at the Bordelais Correctional Facility.

He will return to court on April 26, 2013 for sentencing.
