ALBA-TCP and Petrocaribe nations sign new cooperation agreements

NATIONWIDE – President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, headed the Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty at its 4th Extraordinary Meeting, where important agreements were signed within the framework of Petrocaribe further strengthening this integration and cooperation agreement.

“So far, millions of people in Latin America and the Caribbean have received medical care thanks to our programs. They have learned to read and write. This is an example of solidarity and complementarity between our peoples. It’s an example of respect, of stability and social investment for the progress of our sister nations”, said the Venezuelan Head of State.

Under the premise of self-determination, freedom and the sovereignty of the peoples of the region and the strengthening of the development of the “Patria Grande” (Common Homeland), member nations of ALBA-TCP signed agreements encompassing areas such as: health, social development, education, agriculture and complementary energy.
