

This development is as a result of a secret ballot poll undertaken by the Labour Department among workers employed with the two companies.
The polls revealed that over 60 percent of the employees who participated in the exercise voted in favour of having their interests represented by the National Workers Union (NWU).
This brings closure to the recognition claim submitted to the Labour Department on behalf of workers employed with the two companies.
Recognition Certificates will be dispatched to the NWU shortly.




Yes but hiring one rich guy to do our talking for us to another rich guy isn't "standing up". Would have been better to negotiate directly together since Valmont and Employees have essentially the same interests whereas everyone knows the only interest of the union.
lets hope that the Unions will stand up for the peoples best interest as well.
