According to the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, this award is bestowed to the organization which demonstrates excellence in growing and developing innovations or processes that substantially improve the commercial performance or prospects of the company. Additionally consideration is given to whether the institution has developed or deployed a new business system which enhanced the company’s processes.
A Management Consulting Firm, A.I.M provides business houses and clients with practical insights, marketing strategies and tailored solutions geared at increasing their competitive advantage. Originally launched in 2007 as a website development company, A.I.M. has evolved and honed its capacity (supported by its subsidiary, Digital Kitchen) to a point where the company now provides Digital Education and Training, Strategic Marketing Consultation, Website & Systems Development and Business Advisory services throughout St Lucia and the Caribbean.
AIM’s most recent ground breaking project was the conceptualization, development and implementation of a custom Bespoke reservation, logistical and operational software program on behalf of their client St Lucia Helicopters; aptly named “Take Flight.” The fact that this software is able to manage every aspect of the company’s operations—the first of its kind for a local company—epitomizes the core value of innovation.
Take Flight is an open source web-based solution which provides St Lucia Helicopters with world class booking and reservation management, pilot scheduling, fleet management, business and accounting processing, commission Management, analytics and reporting and customer data management. Take Flight is a singular, sophisticated program which combines creative strategy and analysis to transform innovation, people products, processes and technology across the full customer experience.
Take Flight’s Flexibility and sophistication enables it to be easily modified to any business which relies on reservation, logistics and fleet management. This software program created by St Lucian minds can therefore be utilized for car rentals, boat charters and airline.
Certainly, the fact that a wholly owned St Lucian company conceptualized, developed and implemented such a sophisticated program heralds A.I.M’s and St. Lucia’s ability to innovate.
“ We are extremely proud to be recognized for the Prime Ministers Award for Innovation at this year’s St Lucia Business Awards. This achievement however could not have been accomplished without the hard work and dedication of our team; and trust of our client St. Lucia Helicopters,” says Leslie Collymore, Principal Consultant and founder of A.I.M.
“We believe in creativity and change. From inception one of our focuses has been continuous research to identify specific areas of need within the Caribbean business landscape, specifically in comparison to international models. Once identified we challenge ourselves to determine how we can assist our clients address those areas. This is one of the reasons there has been so much growth in our service offerings over the past few years. We believe to survive and thrive, we must always innovate.”
