Activities for National Youth Month 2015 celebrations

PRESS RELEASE – The National Youth Month 2015 celebration continues with a Youth Forum at the Youth Business Club on Brazil Street, Castries on the third Floor of the Starlight Building.

Young people who have created their own employment will show case their abilities, talents and market their small business. Also free training sessions will be held from 15 – 17 April with Dr. Stanhorn of St Vincent participants will receive certification. On Thursday 16th April the Youth Business Club will launch their first issue of the “NEXT Magazine.”

On Saturday 18 April is the Youth Overhaul at the Fond ‘Or Nature Heritage site from 3:00 p.m. where youth will come into contact with Jesus. St Lucia’s leading Gospel Artists will be there and we are looking to have prayers for youth. It promises to be a life changing event.

The Taste the world Community Cook Out is slated for April 26, 2015 at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds from 10:00 a.m. in Vieux Fort where the District Youth and Sports Councils will showcase their culinary abilities in food around the world.

The Young Professionals Seminar with First Citizens Investment Services will be held on April 29, 2015 at the Palm Ville Room, Coco Palm on Rodney Bay from 5:00 p.m. on Mastering Your Money Management.

The Youth Awards will be held on May 16, 2015. Youth Awards Nomination forms is being circulated by Youth and Sports Officers, District Education Offices and on Facebook on the Youth and Sports Saint Lucia page. The deadline for submission of Forms is April 16, 2015. Individuals are asked to nominate a youth deserving of an award.
