Gov’t sympathizes with family and friends of Julian Agard

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Phillip J Pierre has extended words of condolence on behalf of cabinet to the family and friends of Julian Agard who was electrocuted at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds on August 6, 2013.

According to a press release, the acting prime minister visited Agard’s mother to “personally express regret and to convey the sentiments of the prime minister at the untimely death of her son.”

“The loss of a loved one, particularly in tragic circumstances is always difficult to come to terms with. However the outpouring of love and concern that has been witnessed thus far, the family of Agard can rest assured that the entire country shares their loss,” the release said.

Phillip urged St. Lucians to pray for the affected family and friends in their time of bereavement.
