Young St. Lucian multi skilled cricketer Ackeem Auguste left the island on Sunday, August 5 for Barbados to join the rest of his West Indies under-15 teammates on route to the CWI Under-15 Cricket tour of the United Kingdom.

The stylish, elegant top-order left-handed batsman is expected to showcase his batting premise while on tour with the young West Indies team. Ackeem will also serve as the team’s wicket keeper and if required, right arm leg spinner.

Ackeem has the distinguished honour of being the only batsman to score two centuries in a single Windward Islands under-15 tournament. He made scores of 138 not out vs Grenada and 100 vs Dominica.

Ackeem, in the recently concluded Department of Youth and Sports Under 15, 40 Over Schools Cricket Tournament, made a record-breaking score of 229 for St Mary’s College vs Corinth Secondary School at the Gros Islet Playing Field.

The West Indies under-15 team departed from Barbados on route to the United Kingdom on Monday, August 6.

We wish ACKEEM AUGUSTE all the best as he represents the Caribbean team with pride.

Wishing the other Windward Islands player, Dominican Yawani Regis success on tour and also the entire West Indies Team.

ALL THE BEST TO ALL.
