She always breaks up with me when I bring up something that she does or she gets upset and doesn’t want to hear anything I have to say. I must admit I haven’t always been a saint. I treated her badly in the beginning of the relationship.
Willie, one of the problems I have is that she just can’t seem to forgive me for anything that has happened. She always brings it up. I have been trying to make up for my mistakes but I feel like she is taking me for granted, because she always breaks up with me.
Recently everything has just been very bad. She insults me a lot and is always upset with me for no reason. She doesn’t take my calls and doesn’t respond to my messages.
She says I don’t have time for her though I spend most of my time with her. Things have gotten so bad that we haven’t had sex with each other in about seven months. I have confided in her friends and they all say that women don’t treat men they say they love like this for no reason.
She tells me she loves me all the time. I have asked her on several occasions if she’s seeing someone else and she says no. I just don’t know what to do or know what she wants.
Dear Sir: Sounds like she is spiting you for what you did to her earlier in the relationship. The constant break-ups and reliving the past backs up my statement.
I believe she knows what she wants. And this is what she wants: to let you feel the pain and hurt you put her through in the beginning.
The females here can have a very twisted way at getting back at men: using spite. They will try to hurt you “discreetly”. The “slow death” type of hurt: make you hurt without knowing you’re being hurt. I believe she thinks the revenge would be sweeter to treat you like crap than just telling you the relationship is over.
I don’t believe she loves you. Nothing you described in this letter sounds like love to me. Plus, she sounds immature. I can bet you the half-dead fan in my apartment that this girl is a teenager or in her very early 20s. Ladies and real women don’t act that way.
I think you need to find another girlfriend and stop asking the obvious.
And no sex for seven months? Brother man, don’t tell me you’re not having sex. And don’t tell me you believe she is not having sex with anyone else.
This doesn’t sound like a relationship. This appears like an episode of Tom and Gerry.
Anyway, you get the picture, so make your move.
