PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES BECOMING CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE LEEWARD AND NORTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS. ELSEWHERE, PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH A FEW SHOWERS.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

OUTER RAIN BANDS AHEAD OF TROPICAL STORM ISAAC ARE EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE LESSER ANTILLES THIS MORNING.

AT 5:00 AM TODAY, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ISAAC WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 14.5 DEGREES NORTH, LONGITUDE 53.5 DEGREES WEST WHICH IS ABOUT 500 MILES OR 810 KILOMETERS EAST OF SAINT LUCIA. ISAAC IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 15 MPH OR 24 KM/H AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. ON THIS FORECAST TRACK, THE CENTER OF ISAAC IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE LESSER ANTILLES, NEAR DOMINICA ON THURSDAY AND CONTINUE INTO THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA BY THE WEEKEND.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 60 MPH OR 95 KM/H WITH HIGHER GUSTS. A GRADUAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

A TROPICAL STORM WATCH HAS NOT BEEN ISSUED FOR SAINT LUCIA, HOWEVER RESIDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CLOSELY MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS SYSTEM.
