$40 robber to face jury

Henson Anthony, one of three men accused of robbing a man of $40 at knife point last year, will stand trial for robbery.

On May 4, 2012 at about 1:30 am, Anthony and two other men accosted Mattis Small of Bexon near the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

According to court records, Small was then collared, held at knife point and threatened several times. He was then searched and $40 was taken from him.

Reports further stated that he was again threatened and he had to plead for his life. The robbers eventually released him before escaping on foot.

Small made a report to the police and identified Anthony as one of the persons who had robbed him.

Anthony will return to court on a date yet to be determined by the court.  No further information is available at present to this reporter on Anthony’s two accomplices.
