31 schools score above national average in Common Entrance Exams

The Ministry of Education has revealed that 31 of the 69 schools that wrote this year’s Common Entrance Examination scored above the national mean of 61.25 percent.

Of the 31, 25 were from public schools and six were from private schools.

Des Barras Combined (79.83 percent), Dugard Combined (74.83) and Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary (73) were the top performers in the public primary schools category, while the Montessori Centre (83.70), Tapion Private (83.45) and Bonne Terre Preparatory (79.52) topped the private primary schools category.

  5. I HATE TO SEE PPL BLAME THE SCHOOL FOR NOT PERFORMING. A SCHOOL'S PERFORMANCE IS BASED ON HOW MUCH TIME PARENTS PUT IN THE EFFORT FOR THEIR CHILDREN. A TEACHER CAINT MAKE A CHILD LEARN IF HE OR SHE DOESNT WANT TO LEARN. sO PARENTS IF UR CHILD PERFORMACE IS POOR JUS SHOWS HOW MUCH U CARE

  9. The schools most overlooked by most are the Adventist Schools! Consistently, they have performed above the National mean. In fact,over the years, the Adventist Schools have outperformed even some of our most hyped schools.
