Karib Cable continues to “Make a difference” in the lives of St. Lucians through education, health and wellness, culture, community projects and sports.
Under the umbrella of its corporate social responsibility program “Making A Difference”, 22 libraries island-wide have now been fitted with complementary Karib Cable TV.
Librarians from every district attended a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Castries Central Library on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012.
Chief of Library Services Miss Brenda Paul expressed her gratitude for Karib Cable recognising the importance in having the service in the libraries. The service will be found in the children’s section of each library where children would be exposed to a wide range of educational and entertaining channels including: Discovery, National Geographic, History Channel , Discovery Civilization, Animal Planet and the Science Channel to name a few.
General Manager of Karib Cable, Ms Joya Martin, who is an avid supporterof educational advancement, emphasized the positive impact this service will have on the children by gaining access to educational and fun content.
Persons using the library service in these communities will now be able to experience over 100 channels of crystal clear quality programing complements of Karib Cable.
