    St. Helen University School of Medicine announces scholarships for May 2013

    SHU President Oma Sewhdat

    St. Helen University (SHU), based in Vieux Fort St. Lucia, announced today that it is offering full scholarships for the class of May 2013, and the class of Sept 2013.

    These scholarships are available to all applicants and will be awarded based on a combination of academic and non-academic criteria.

    President, Oma Sewhdat, in making the announcement, said “We are very pleased with the progress we are making in the program and with the level of interest we have been seeing from potential students from all over the globe. These scholarships will go a long way for the winners”.

    Commenting on the class of January 2013, Sewhdat said “Our students in the class of January 2013 are progressing very well, and have been very happy with the Plastinated Specimens, our teaching model and the e-resources integrated into the program. According to the students, the Anatomy and Histology slides, videos and related materials have been very valuable”.

    “More than that”, Sewhdat added, “all lectures are recorded, packaged with presentation slides and notes;  and catalogued for easy search and access by students anytime, anywhere, and on various devices, including laptops and smart phones. This technology underpinning been invaluable for students so far and will continue to be an important element in the overall learning experience at SHU”.
