As the countdown continues towards the next General Elections, the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) is stepping up its preparation to return good governance to the conduct of the business of the country. Plans for the celebration of the Party’s 60th Anniversary, in October is also at an advanced stage. While looking back at its proud history of fighting for bread, justice and freedom for Saint Lucians over the last sixty years, the Party is also focusing on shaping its futuristic outlook.
This morning the Saint Lucia Labour Party unveiled a key component of its communications strategy when it went live with its new website for the 2011 election campaign. Hosted at www.stlucialabourparty.org, the new Labour Party website is intended to provide constituents, the public and voters with pertinent information about the SLP, its history, achievements and policies.
Constituents and voters also have the opportunity to engage in discussions and provide feedback to the Party through the various blogs, forums and the “Write Your District Rep.” feature.
Members and supporters of the Labour Party have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new SLP website for several weeks, and this morning’s launch was officially observed with the posting of a multi-media message on the site by Political Leader – Dr. Kenny Anthony. The message which can be downloaded from www.stlucialabourparty.org for broadcast or print, notes the SLP’s desire to keep in constant contact with the electorate and to remain relevant to voters.
The Saint Lucia Labour Party invites Saint Lucians to visit our website to learn more about the SLP and to participate in our discussions which will shape and influence our policies and provide invaluable feedback on restoring better governance for our beloved Saint Lucia.
Talk to us at www.stlucialabourparty.org and we look forward to your support in developing our country.
