Due to the interaction between a trough system and a Tropical wave, persistent rainfall is expected over St. Lucia for the next 12 to 24 hours.

These conditions increase the probability of flooding and landslides and residents are asked to exercise extreme caution due to the threat of these hazards.

Residents should continue to monitor the situation and the Met. office will be issuing updates as necessary.
